布殊蒙主呼召

President George Bush has claimed he was told by God to invade Iraq and attack Osama bin Laden's stronghold of Afghanistan as part of a divine mission to bring peace to the Middle East, security for Israel, and a state for the Palestinians.....

"I'm driven with a mission from God. God would tell me, 'George, go and fight those terrorists in Afghanistan.' And I did, and then God would tell me, 'George go and end the tyranny in Iraq,' and I did."......

"I feel God's words coming to me: 'Go get the Palestinians their state and get the Israelis their security, and get peace in the Middle East.' And by God, I'm gonna do it."

西諺說神愛者早逝，看來這不一定有道理。布殊總統除了深得上帝眷顧外，原來還聽到上帝跟他說話呢。那上帝跟他說什麼呢？據知情者透露，無非是：去打救世人吧，喬治！

其實大家都知道布殊是一位狂熱的教徒，只是不知道已經到了病入膏肓的程度(居然出現了幻聽，還不是思覺失調？)。如果說宗教狂人都是現今世界的危險人物，那麼布殊總統比拉登要強上百倍－－他手裡還有核武器。

心懷光復聖地的宏志，也難怪九一一後布殊要以「新十字軍東征」形容反恐戰爭了。據說那段期間他最愛的讀物是James Reston的Warriors of God : Richard the Lionheart and Saladin in the Third Crusade－－那大家就可以想像布殊自視如何了。可是問題卻在選角之上。拉登固然是撒拉丁，布殊夠不夠格當上「獅心王」？或許對世人來說，他最好就是當「紅鬍子」的角色。腓特烈一世當年也說受到神的呼召要光復聖城，結果卻溺斃在薩列夫河中，真箇蒙主寵召去了。
